arithmetic-MathsTrainers

Arithmetic can easily be summarised as ADDING, SUBTRACTING, MULTIPLYING and DIVIDING numbers.

Once we begin understanding numbers we look to doing something with them. This is where arithmetic starts.

Usually begin with addition. Small whole numbers to start with. Once we understand how to add, we get on to subtraction. Multiplication follows and then division. We then consider working with different types of numbers: integers, fractions, decimals and complex. Arithmetic operations are also used in algebra and form the basis of much of maths.

A life skill at its most fundamental.
